They have glow sticks that you can use so the actors know not to scare them as bad
My seven-year-old daughter went the other night. She does like scary movies like Killer Clowns from Outer Space and what not, but not too scary like Child's Play. She was pretty spooked by the darkness for the first 10 minutes or so, but then lighted up. She had her face painted like a vampire cat and kept hissing at the actors, then they would try to scare her more. Sometimes it worked and she clung to me. Sometimes it didn't and she continued to hiss. Afterwards, she said she had a blast and was glad she lighted up and got through the entire thing. I will say she has sensory issues and hated the chainsaw part, but the guy was super awesome when he saw her covering her ears and planting her face in my side. He turned it off and even offered to let her turn it on herself and/or hold it. She didn't want to, but she smiled and loved the gesture!
We've had several young ones come through, it depends on the child if they cant sleep after a scary movie then no if they know it isnt that real they should be ok
