I'm not sure how strictly they impose a weight limit, but typically you want the total load to be less than 240-250 pounds in order to protect the horse. As long as you can get on the horse you should be able to ride. Doug does have some step stools to assist with getting on the horses. He has a guy that rides regularly, that has a bad knee.
