I just took my fully stock Jeep Grand Cherokee yesterday and had a blast!! We got a few funny looks (most vehicles are heavily modified), and stayed on the 1 & 2 trails, but I'd say it was worth the drive from Kansas City, MO anyway!!
I run a 4cyl 5spd tj with 3.5 in lift on 31s with lunch box lockers front and back i push it .. but i can go up and down 4s and i can traverse down several 5s carefully skirting the edges (deffinately not advisable for a begginer) but jeeps with minimal mods can do alot more than one would think
I run 31s with a 3 inch lift in my xj and there is plenty of trails to run. Just get a map when you check in and probably stick with level 3 and under trails.
I drive mine there and home every weekend and I have no wench and I just have a 95 xj with 31s and a 3" lift. I go down several trails. You'll have fun just go and play. I wouldn't try level 5 or 6 trails without a built rig and a wench.
Some of the 3s might be pretty tough but I'm sure you will have a good time. Their trail map is online.
Level 3 and under trails will give you a very full day worth of driving or a couple of days spread across a weekend. Get the map and study it to find where you want to go. Be sure that there are no higher level trails in your way to get through the route you want to take. We have been through with a bone stoke TJ, lifted but stock XJ like you described, and a daily driver stock JK. Drive in drive out after a great weekend.
If you wanna drive your stock rig home at the end of the day stay off trail 3 and above.. you can play on some of 3 and take a chance or stay on 1 & 2 and have a blast all day..
Theres plenty to do at that level try to go when its dry
