Why is it that most the trails in Wisconsin allow atv utv but not motorcycles? For the life of me i can't understand why they do that. They dont want the revenue motorcyclists would bring to the area? Makes zero sense.

I can't answer for other places but here at our facility from what I have understood it is an insurance coverage issue, our trails are too narrow in some areas to allow two way traffic and previous managers/village board believed bikes could go faster and that it would be a recipe for collisions. Our trails are now one way so this will reduce those risks when we finally open the trails to OHM's also. For the time being we have 2.5 miles of single track OHM trail, it is open fridays and saturdays 10-4 and sundays 10-1.

Motorcycles leave deep small ruts which make it difficult for others. Bong and dyracuse allow bikes and they are constantly maintaining and repairing. A trail system is alot more difficult than a park. Embarass does have a motorcycle only track. However it isn't always open you would have to call them and ask
