Coolers are allowed yes, anything really within reason. Just no glass containers or alcohol and you're good. 👍
Haha good one Mr. West ;) And yes, just no alcohol beverages. And yes they do check! There was a couple maybe 8 feet from us that had their beer out, but fairly hidden from view and a park ranger/security type guy came up and said they could have it on the grass, but not the beach.
You need to keep your cooler on silent if possible but yes coolers are allowed.
