When screwing the sheets off do the screws go into the upper ridge rather than the lower flat surface ? Or does it matter ?

Screws go on flat. 5 screws across a sheet. There should be a pamphlet on installing thier metal.

Lower flat surface. You do it on upper ridge you risk ranging the material.

As Mark suggested, we do have an application guide. You have not mentioned what profile you are using, but I have included a link to our most used application guide. Thank you! https://everlastroofing.com/pdf/PostFrameLGApplicationGuide.pdf

On the flat your scew is right to the metal and decking wich means more bite for the screw. On the ridge you would have longer swrews with a one inch gap between scew and decking. Wich is not good during high winds. Fact

What is ranging ? I would have thought there is less chance of leaks bn it in the upper ridge
