Yes there is lots of space in the upstairs food court. Also keep in mind there are places to eat right outside the mall also.

Yes, there are open areas within the 'ends' of the mall where you can sit and enjoy a beverage, I believe there is a cafe near the JC Penny End of the Valley Mall.
