Why did this store discontinue Wheaties? I was told by store employee that they had been discontinued!

That was likely a lazy employee. They are in stock on isle A21 in grocery. The store itself can't discontinue anything. The Kelloggs company would have to discontinue Wheaties. That employee just didn't wanna deal with your problem & took the quick way out.
