Like Charles said. Because they’ve been without light, the outer layers dry up and all the bulbs energy moves towards the middle. Peel a few crispy layers off and they’ll be good to go. But they most likely won’t grow or bloom until next spring. They typically would have already bloomed if planted in the fall- but you might still get some foliage. Call us with any questions!
You must remove a few of the skin layers on the bulbs and observe if there is any signs of a little greenness or moistness. If there is the bulbs are still alive and good. Then plant them and water them vigorously. C.H. Louisville,KY.
