If something has a security box or tag like what's on liquor or other common stolen items, can I use self check out or do they need to be brought to a cashier?

I'm not positive, but there is always a Kroger person at the self check-out. Primarily, I think, to help ifone of the scanners acts up, si to speak. Usually, if i have three or four eight packs of pop, or a 25pound off cat litter, etc....they will come to my self check-out and use the handheld scanner they have to scan those items, so I do not have up lift them out of the basket. I'm thinking if you had Liquor or of the other items with one of those tags on it, they would come to you and scan the tag and remove whatever it is that goes off and sounds the alarm if you were to goout through the doors.

There is usually an employee working at the self check out area specifically to assist in customers in the self check out area. In this case, you CAN purchase liquor in a security tag.

You can use self check out. The cashier will remove the tag
