This safeway is good. Who asks for that? Its a grocery store. If they dont have it on the shelf, it wasn't meant for you to have.
That particular store is ordinarily very helpful.
Not unusual for this store understaffed and customer service hjorrible.
That happened to me the other day. I asked one of the guys who walked by and he went in back and got what I needed. No problem. If one person won't do it, ask someone else or tell the cashier. They'll usually have someone do it. I love the greenback store and the one on pleasant grove
There is a time and place for everything.
Seriously?
Sadly, Safeway stores as I have found are extremely understaffed. They don't have enough clerks, let alone assistants to help bag or get products for you. I prefer Save Mart or Raleys. There is always a line to check out at the Manzanita Ave. Safeway and Dewey isn't any better! I do find the one at San Juan and Greenback better, although the only reason I shop there is due to buying groceries for my 84 year old mother that wants their items!
To Dustin, I appologize that I did not explain my situation correctly. It was a regularly stocked and shelved item. The shelf spot was empty. As a former grocery manager the proper thing to do for a customer is to retrieve it from the pallet in the back and not tell the customer there is nothing they can do.
You got a lazy employee Sad :-(
Im not sure the Safeway i go to they are so nice go out of the way to make me feel like I'm at a mom and pop store
