Depends on the fabrics. If your trying for blankets it's cheap. Want to make dresses or a costume then it gets spendy quickly. My advice is to find discount fabric or use coupons and set aside a hour and a half
Basic, woven fabrics can run $3-24 per yard, florals and batiks can run about $15 per yard. Specialty fabrics can get pretty expensive but coupons come in quite handy. There is also a clearance section.
