You might not get to meet him, but the stop is worth it. You can see the work shop, cool gift shop with stuff for everyone, not sure if they are doing the monster truck rides yet though
Very rarely is he on site. It's more of a tourist stop with a shop and other attractions.
It depends my he and my uncle are friends so I haven't heard my uncle say he was in town since they where going to Florida.
