Now that would be nice, tents, but not allowed. It's a rest stop but they don't want us moving in. With all the homelessness, tents make sense but what a fracus this would cause for many who can't see past the problem of homelessness. Have had good naps in me car though. All good! Happy trails!
Of course you can set up your tents, during the daytime, and catch some z's, as that is not overnight camping. However at night, you don't have to sleep in your vehicle, as there are plenty of area to roll out a sleeping bag off in the dark where no one can see you. I don't recommend doing that during the winter time or when it's raining though. Typically the popos do not mess with the sleepers or the panhandlers at the North and Southbound rest areas there I like around Portland where they got cameras on you all the time
