From their website: Dogs are welcome visitors too – especially when their owners follow the rules. We have a six-foot leash requirement throughout the Park. Dogs are not allowed inside the historic buildings or in the mine shaft. However, service dogs are allowed inside Empire Cottage and the Clubhouse. Owners are responsible for removing dog waste, and citations may be given to owners whose dogs are off leash. Fresh water is available for dogs in the Visitors Center and in the Blacksmith Shop. REMEMBER, never leave your dog in a hot car. Even if you choose a shady parking place, it can become a dangerous “hot spot” quickly. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG IN THE CAR WHEN THE WEATHER’S HOT.
I recently went, and pets were allowed everywhere, but the mansion, which is preserved as much a possible.
Dogs are allowed in the park both on the hiking trails and inside the paid areas. Dog owners are required to pick up after their dogs and a leash is required and enforced. They are not allowed inside the cottage or club house. They often have dog biscuits behind the counter in the visitor center. We often take our two dogs there and we get complaints when we arrive without them!
Well behaved dogs on leash frequently visit the park. We have water for them at the Blacksmith Shop.
We took both our dogs here. They went with us all around the grounds and the gift shop and museum. We didn't take any tours, but there is a lot to see and do without the tours.
Not sure, but I don't think they can go in the mansion. The outside mine tour is probably ok.
Yes but I suggest you confirm. The venue is amazing. Make sure your cell phone has enough memory. You will take a lot of pictures. Go to Nevada City and shop, stop in and visit at McGees an outstanding Irish bar where everybody knows your name in a short time.
No. Not unless they are service animals . Sorry.
Not in the cottage.
I believe yes for the trails outside the paid area, but no within the controlled paid area unless it is a service animal.
