The kiddie pool is for kids and not "swimming" it's only a few inches deep. Wave pool isn't a spot for someone that can't swim. The prices are different so for him I would only get the kiddie pool part! It's still fun thlugh!!
There is a kid section that's about 1-2 feet deep and the wave pool goes to 6 feet deep most of the slides end pool sections are 4-5 feet deep
There are pools of different depths. There is a kiddie pool, the lazy river (about 3 ft deep), and the wave pools are 0 to 6ft. So he can stay in the shallow end and still enjoy!
