Would I be able to test my SHO’s quarter mile against another car similar to it without entering any kind of event or spending tons of money. If this is possible please let me know when to do it, how to do it and how much it would cost

You can go on a test and tune night. I believevdriven in street cars are 15.00 to race. You will need a snell approved helmet.

Is the track even open any time soon?

Yes, Tuesday and Friday night's are always available for any street, or drag car available. Usually 5 pm to 10pm. A variety of trucks, cars and bikes all come out.
