We have a cat in the hat hat
This particular Books-a-million is pretty good at hosting group events, for things like Scrabble and D&D, however, I have lived in Clarksville for almost 5 yrs now, and I have yet to have seen any event, that resembles what you are referring to. I do know that the public library (downtown near Madison Street) had some event to do with Dr. Seuss, last year, so that might be a great place to check out. I would also try calling or stopping into BAM, and maybe suggesting the idea to the manager. The manager they had previously, he wouldn't have probably have done it, however, he has since been transferred to a new BAM location; and the female manager that took his place, is quite receptive to customer input and critiques. Make sure you ask for the manager though, or look for her yourself, bc this BAM is VERY short staffed. It's almost like I have to go on a safari through the books aisles, to find someone whenever I need them. They really NEED to hire more people.
Update: Talked to the cute associate and she told me that they are doing a "Dr. Seuss Event" March 2, 2019 from 2pm-4pm. I'm really happy now. Let the fun times begin 😜🐱🎩🐠👥
