Don't worry. They make money thats for sure
The checkout lanes take cash and cards unless the machine/register is broken or doesn't have enough money left in it too despense your change or if u want cash back. But yes self checkout does take cash. I have worked in Customer Service for 10 plus years. I've done cashiering, refunds, exchanges etc.. pretty much all of it.
Unless things have changed in 2 days since i last worked a shift the you scans and regular lanes take cash. Im a cashier at meijer
Meijer is pretty much automated i use to work there, between groceries and general merchandise you only ever had like 4 people working with you
