Yes you can. I've never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes for a seat though. The place is huge so sometimes, depending on how many people, you may no even have to wait.
Yes you can call ahead but that doesn't guarantee a seat. Usually my wait has been about 15 to 25 minutes on a week day But may be longer on the weekend.
When we went, we called ahead about an hour before we arrived and we got a confirmation number for our party of six.
