Call ahead to be sure they can help in the emergency otherwise you may wait longer. They are very flexible, though, and will help out as much as possible.
They would like for you to make an appointment but if you go there with an emergency they will set you to the side until they are able to see you. I was under the impression that you didn't need an appointment to see the vet as well, until I became a wellness member. One of the workers there misinformed me, but I'm happy with their services. They really like my Gidget.
