Hi Tamera. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and apologies for the confusion. Yes, we do add a slice of Cuba Cheddar cheese on top of our apple pie. We will be sure to include this in our next menu revision.
The cheese-apple pie connection is often traced back to England, which is the birthplace of Cheddar and the apple pie. Back in the 17th and 18th century, English pies were often topped with a dairy-based sauce, such as custard. Somehow along the way, Cheddar stepped in for the sauce and the rest was history.
Stan, but no where on menu does it state it come with cheese. It was suppose to have a maple sauce, and that 17/18th century thing is usually cheddar not american cheese
