We're always appreciative of all the great donations we receive. We do however prefer donations are are made and received during our standard hours of operation when we have donation attendants on hand to assist with unloading and accepting donors generous donations.Our preference certainly is not to receive donations when we are closed with items being left at our door and although some town authorities may consider this as dumping and may cause concern with security alarms,Goodwill does not treat that as a crime as stated below.
They prefer to be open when you donate, especially large amounts. I have left small donations at the appropriate donation center, at the door that accepts donations and never got in trouble, but they do consider it dumping, and treat it as a crime.
Hopefully they do!
Just during store hours. With a very large donation, you should call ahead of time and verify that they have the space for it. Hope this helps.
