To each there own...I like to dress scarey to scare my kids ...now grandkid lol I don't see anything wrong with it but my opinion lol enjoy whatever you decide
Legally? Yes. But most residents participating in Halloween candy handouts, do it for THE KIDS. It's a way for neighborhoods to celebrate a somewhat scary "holiday" with children, by enjoying the children's creativity, costumes, excitement, and energy. Teenagers and adults, though welcome to participate by wearing costumes, are usually frowned upon when they start participating in taking "treats" (candies, bags of treats, etc). The candy expensive and the time it takes to decorate one's home, lawn, front porch, plus the hours of opening and answering the door for each "trick or treater", isn't really meant for the adults in the neighborhood... it's a child's experience, and one best enjoyed by all, when all the attention is on the children. I think you would be most pleasantly received and welcomed at an adult themed Halloween party, event, or gathering. There, you're able to really show off your costume creativity, artistic flair, and "complete" for Best Costume, among your peers.
