maybe because faith based movies are extremely poorly written and boring? and not everyone is christian and needs to watch them ðŸ¤
Our drive to Chakers is about 25 to 30 miles. We choose this theater because it's affordable to see more movies per month than the bigger, higher priced theaters that are the same travel distance from us! We appreciate the lower cost, and friendly atmosphere!
Melody Cruise Inn is home to many of my fondest childhood memories. I was heartbroken when they shut it down. But you are correct; the theatres offered in Spfld. have never been anything to brag about and now we are left with just Cinema 10. Personally the drive out of town to see a movie in a nice theatre is well worth it! Somewhere you don't have to worry about your shoes sticking to the floor or sitting in gum! Springfield is trying to upgrade so they really need to step up their game in the movie industry. All this new technology is awesome and very useful, but it's taking away two amazing businesses, movie theatres and BOOK STORES which is just soul crushing :-(.
I love faith built and Disney movies. I would love to see the drive inn rebuilt and opened. I know we only have one thing open now for anybody to enjoy it's a shame because we all need something we can go to and feel safe and have fun don't know why people aren't trying to do more for us and to close the one at the mall which was a great one and didn't need repaired as bad and had some thoughts but I just hope they will keep us something open any way to do. I would love to see the teens and everyone have something to do in Springfield it's not fair I'm 65 and even my husband and I like to go to see a good movie and have something to do in the summertime we set up the bank and Snyder parking and they fish and I want that come on we do need something decent
