( this is not specifically talking about fresh grocer just this topic in general) Throughout my growing process, (getting older) it has always been if the item scanned incorrectly it would be removed from the register and that specific item would be free ( in case of multiple quantities the first on would be free and the other items would be corrected to the actual current price). At times I have also noticed in stores in which I know they honored that policy, that it kind of depends on the manager, what kind of mood they're in, the specific situation and the attitudes of the customer. Once at Acme I got 2 of the incorrect priced items free and paid for the other 2 at regular price. So it's kind of situational. I say be friendly overall and you might get it free or reduced.
