They have a policy. I know they cash payroll checks. I think you can write a check for groceries although you can only write them 20$ over for cash back . Also I don't think they cash person to person checks.
Safeway does cash payroll if they know you, regularly shop there, etc. I shop with personal checks at times too. Winco, Kmart, Target cash checks as well
No they do not even take checks
