Who else feels that Walmart is capitalizing on the limited free time hard working Americans have? By letting go cashier's and trying to force us to work for free and self checkout because we'd rather not wait in line.

I would rather self check out than wait forever in line with 2 cash registets open

Yeah, I was pretty annoyed by the self-checkouts too at first. But, Covid has turned me into a bit of a germaphobe. I'd prefer to be the only person handling my purchases. The clerks are really good about getting to you when there's an issue at self-check. Do wish they would clean around the registers better tho....I rarely set anything down. Stuff goes straight from the cart to the bag after being rung up!

Cashiers weren’t let go, they were moved to other departments. I like self-checkout because there’s a lot more and I don’t have to wait on a family of ten doing their biweekly shopping when I just have a few items to pay for. I used to avoid Walmart until the self-checkout.

I’m also starting to get used to self check out now that I’ve learned how to use it. I’d rather go when it’s not so busy and I don’t have to wait in line, especially if I happen to be with my friend who drives a limo
