People continually Replant. Last week they replanted several new plants that children destroyed within a few days. People visiting park take or tear down signs naming plants. Markham has great volunteers that work weekly replanting, caring for beautiful plants but now we have children STOMPING on plants while Mom+dad are on phone. Some parents watch as kid is STOMPING running thru plants
I have no young children, but I do walk my service dog's in the Markham Abarbotterium. I have noticed that over the years mantience of the plants has gone down hill. Some rare plants have dissapeared. Signs identifying plants have also dissapeared. The Arboretum needs to be renovatedm. Plants need to replaced. Plenty of people would voulenter to restore the Aboretum. I certainly would and I have many plants & seeds to donate. It's a wonderfully peace full place in this raucous world.
