Yes you can, I do that often cause 60% of their merchandise SUCKS!
Probably not and then if they will they charge 10% open box, depending on what it is they can't sell it that way did you call the store? They really aren't a company that is for the people.
If there's something wrong with it, you may not need the box. New items they don't ask why but if it's opened, they'll ask. Depends on the person who takes the return if they care whether you have box. Some items have a restocking fee, but there are some states that forbid restocking fees.

Sounds sketchy. I wouldn't allow an item without its original box to be returned to me, why should they?
I believe so, but look at the return policy on the back of your receipt.
