I agree with you they definitely should build more Pioneer chickens.
In the past there was! Growing up in the valley I used to eat at the pioneer chicken on the northwest corner of Roscoe and Desoto, one day it was closed, a few weeks later the sign was changed, new paint and it became a Popeye's, at the time i hadn't heard of Popeye's and soon they took over all the old pioneer chicken locations 😥

One very big issue is marketing. It cost millions of dollars to do so. Then when you compete against some of the biggest franchises in chicken you have to invest even more in marketing. Pioneer chicken restaurants are franchises. Individually owned. The 3 pioneers that exist are unlikely to join, pool their money and hope that their marketing works.
