Do you tip the people who bring your food & drink?

We used the delivery service when my 10 year old went to the movies with his adult uncle. I sent him with tip money, but the server told him he didn’t need to tip when he tried to give it to her. So either they don’t except tips or maybe she didn’t feel comfortable taking it from a kid 🤷🏽‍♀️

This AMC didn't serve me at the seat. I ordered at one counter and picked up at another.
