The Metropolitan Pkwy location has been shut down for a week due to the power being out. I understand it was a deliberate act of what amounts to an act of sabotage. What is the timeline for the reopening? The community would like to know.

Someone posted this answer on NextDoor “Their downtime estimate is currently from 5 to 6 weeks, which is mid/late-December. He assured me that the location would definitely reopen since they are well aware of how important the store is to the local community.”

As it stands, Kroger plans to reopen 15 Dec! Looking forward to serving the community again!

It was a copper theft. What a way to treat your neighborhood. Sad. People losing hours of work.

Hello, there are some requests emerging from various venues in the neighborhoods surrounding the Kroger, that they want it back, but would like to see the next evolution of the Kroger and make a success story out of the outcome like the example of the murder kroger that used to be which is now Ponce City Market. Can't wait when it comes back online.
