I use to feel the same way when i first started shopping at this store. But after a while you get to know the employees, and you kind of get to know them, and can tell when they are having a hard day. It is hard work, and they are only human. Give them a smile and maybe you'll get one back. Rudeness is no excuse though.
I have never had a negative customer service issue here or at any Safeway.
I normally go past 10PM so I don't really have much trouble
I see....they are not paid to give service with a smile....ok....I get it now.
When people are busy and customers are impatient attitudes show up. Remember, respect can be contagious.
Not all are rude but I do agree that some are I can't answer why only they know. Do your best to ignore
