There is no swimming in the lake. You are ok to wade into the water knee high. I recommend water socks or sandals. I have sat on a chair in the water as well. There are canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats for rent if you choose.
There is a designated swimming area on one side of the lake at the Day Springs Picnic Area.
