Yes one day is good make sure you start early if you are just visiting the zoo area the water park is connected but is closed in winter. Zoombezi Bay is the name.

They do have a play area for slides and more for kids. They have a short train rides, and Carousel ride to do in between if you'd like. If you go early, 1 day should be fine. It's fun to to to so never bad if you do make it to 2 days of a plan. Have fun!
Yes, you can see the Zoo in a day. For small children it would be wise to plan for breaks.
