Most of the exhibits are outside, but like it was said before, there are quite a bit that are inside, like the elephants, manatees and most of the Australia exhibit.
We just went most exhibits are closed until spring now. The ones that were open are reptiles, arctic, elephants, and rhinos not much else beside those and the aquarium.
You will spend a fair amount of time outside, but there are numerous indoor attraction along the way that help you warm up as you go. We went around 3 to see the animals that were out and lights looked great around 530.
Polar bears and reindeer are very active in North America. Most of the other animals have sense to huddle from the cold. :) We didn't venture much farther. Two hours was enough cold for us. Wear layers!
You can most animals indoors. The main exhibit is the lights and light show to music every so long.
Most are outside but the cool thing about winter is that they do "The Zoo Lights" which is just Christmas lights. I think it's over now though, if not it will be soon.
The North America exhibit was open as well as the polar bears, reptile house, aquarium, (the manatees were closed, as well as Australia, the Bob Evans Barn, and Heart of Africa).
