Been eating there for 20 years can't imagine this is the full story. Especially in regards to no manger visit.

We also have never had any issues. How did you determine the chicken was "spoiled"?

I've had good experiences there

I've never found that to be the case that is a family-run business where they take pride in what they do if you call a manager or somebody over they would have fixed it.

I've gone here dozens of times, and while I'll admit it's usually to drink. I've ordered food on a number of occasions and everything has been quite delicious and properly prepared every time.

I'm a Google Guide and have eaten there several times and the only thing I could complain about is the one time I wanted smoked chicken wings and they didn't have any. The cook tried to pass off grilled wings for smoked ones. The mistake they made was not informing me that they didn't have what I ordered. I'd have to say that it's unfortunate that Sunny Jim's has been experiencing problems lately.

My family goes there about twice a week (at least) now for about 6 months. Everytime we are there the manager comes over to ask how the meal is.

Alex my name is Greg Oliver and I am the General Manager. First I would like to apologize for your experience. I would like you to know that we take our food safety extremely serious especially our chicken product. The fried chicken you ordered is procured from Sam's club as a whole fryer chicken and only a few at a time. We also never purchase them unless they have at least a 7 day purchase by date. We do this so we are assured we are only serving the freshest chicken possible. We do however soak our chicken in buttermilk and perhaps that is what you smelled although I have never experienced a smell or have ever had any complaints about our chicken like you have asserted. Also although you indicated no manager bothered to come over Sam was in fact the floor manager that spoke to you and took it off your bill. Only a manager can remove something from a check. Sam has informed me he never told you the chicken was spoiled but we make it a policy not to disagree with our guest in

Local resident and customer for 20 yrs. Not family owned, Frank. 2 business partners. Lots of staff changes in front and back over the last few years and service and food quality have suffered but it appears that they care enough to try and improve. Hurry up, I want to visit more often!
