I see a few photos of snakes.. Are snakes heavily populated in this area?

I have run across several types of snakes while I've been in the park, in different areas. The park itself where you can pitch a tent and picnic I've seen black racers back in there. Outside of that it's usually garter snakes and I've seen a couple rattlesnake's as well.

Did not see any snakes when we were there. Definitely worried about bears but we didn't see any. September 2018
