I don't know about the closest hotel, but we stayed at the Hampton Inn Brooklyn Downtown. It is a little bit of a walk from the hotel, but the Hampton was really nice with a great price. Free breakfast and great staff with clean rooms. I didn't park at the hotel but there is a overnight fee and parking at the restaurant would be street parking. An Uber back and forth would not break the bank. Hope that helps.
