I feel it's more of a fishing beach than a swimming beach.

There is a beach adjacent to the park. It is a rocky one. It is not maintained as a true Jersey Shore Beach. Rather, it is left in its natural state. People do swim in the water. But you will probably find just as many people, if not more, fishing.
