My driver's license doesn't expire until 2024. I already have the RealID but need to submit paperwork. I haven't received any notification in the mail yet. How long do I have to submit the paperwork to keep my license

I asked the people at the MVA when my husband got his license back and they said it had to be done. Just need to submit paperwork. I told them I never got a paper about the submission and they said just bring in forms. I have to get my birth certificate from Washington DC.
