The closing time of 12am is accurate, and this was on a Thursday. It seemed to be their regular closing time from the impression I got from an employee.

Nope. As of new years they were still closing at 11:55. It's a terrible company that doesn't care about legal compliance but it's open until 11:55 every day but Sunday which is open until 9:55. Go somewhere else, the selection won't be as good but you'll pay less for just as good product (but if it's already 11:45 these guys are open)
