Very disappointed. This is not The Lake House I grew up with. I was very excited to take my wife here for her birthday dinner and wasn't impressed. The staff was focused on any and everything other than providing quality service (excluding the bartender. He seems to be their ROCKSTAR!) Our meal took over 45 minutes to come with us not being checked on more than once only after we asked. Our to-go order came out 20 minutes before our dinner. Apparently there was a fight or commotion in the kitchen as the Manager asked the staff to turn up the radio to drowned out the fighting. It was my 1st trip back in 10 years and most likely my last. Hopefully they find people who want to work and conduct themselves professionally. The food was ok but after our experience it was hard to enjoy. 125.00 for 2 meals is fine with exceptional service buy hard to enjoy with such poor service.

Wellllllll after years of boycotting this place I decided to give it another try. I’m assuming the original owners no longer own this place anymore. Sooooo with that being said the current lake house is a 10/10 in the Castleton area. The drinks 10 the food another 10 service 10. The original items that I loved are still on the menu just better! It warms my heart that the lake house pub has really switched it up.

Absolutely loved it! We sat outside on the deck during twilight hours. Spectacular view. The food was delicious. Never had Brussel sprouts before but the baby Brussel sprouts were awesome. A little sweet and crunchy. The white wine butter clam sauce was excellent. Steak was nice and tender and the ribs I had were very good. One of the best things was it's pet friendly. Dogs are allowed and they serve them water and treats. Also if you have a boat they have dock side service minus alcohol. It was a very nice experience overall and would absolutely recommend it to any visitor. A must go.

It has been two years waiting to get back to a normal sunset dinner at the Lake House. The food was delicious, beer selection is always on point, and the views never disappoint. They have Gluten-Free options if you have an allergy, which can be a tough find in VT. My waitress Kenzie was absolutely amazing, as well as all the other staff. Everyone was super friendly and personable. I highly recommend checking them out! PS: Don't forget to call in to reserve a time!

This place sucks! I would not waste your hard earned money. The food would make a goat throw up and service is twice as bad.
