Multiple calls and still never received the help I needed one lady said I needed to verify what city I was born in to get the information I needed but when my husband called to try to figure out our daughters social they didn't ask for his social, birthdate, or where he was born. You guys need better training or to atleast be on the same page with each other. Both calls were made today an hour apart.

Shameful. Was on hold for over an hour and no one answered for three days now. If I could get online I would, If I could drive to their location I would. I only have the choice to call, but no one answers. The computer voice said, "expected wait is an hour." I waited over an hour and the computer never said, "we are closed now." Ridiculous! This is our taxpaying dollars at work? Shameful

The website used to work fine but with the supposedly upgrade in security I can't access my account anymore as it keeps kicking me out and say's check the address. When I go to SSA.gov it shows me where to sign in but won't go there. I think it sucks !!

Need a new socsec card lost mine
I've been going in a lot lately getting information and have never seen any of the officers harassing anyone. They've always been professional when conducting they're job.

Make an appointment. Office number posted on the door. Easier to get the receipt if you need it to show proof to an employer or rental office. Mailing the required application and appropriate identification may take too long; if everything is filled out properly, you still may have to wait the 7-10 day period before receiving it. If you want to consider that route, you might be able to get away with dropping those items in the dropbox. (Hoquiam SSA dropbox available between 1pm-3pm)

If they are just on social security, I think you could take them to small claims court. If they are on SSI, it's a lot harder. You need to talk to an attorney..
Go in and talk to them. You will wait a while, but they will get you started. They do want to help you. You should know, with the current administration, a lot fewer people are getting on, and a lot who are on, are losing it. I wish you the very best of luck.
