This run is not for first-timers. We followed the owner’s instructions carefully, but I went over a boulder early on where I flipped, got banged up pretty bad, and lost my glasses in the river. My friends made it back before me and explained what happened, and the owner never even asked if I was okay or mentioned it at all. To her credit, she did allow us to leave a car on her property so my friends could drive me to get new glasses, and she had been kind and accommodating with our schedule & questions ahead of time. I still can’t recommend this place and would warn folks who had never been tubing before that they should try another stretch first.

This place is not at all good. The lady running got is rude and miserable. I went asked if the transportation was available, which they say is always available in the flyer, but today it wasn't. I told her I'd never been I didnt know where to get on or off. She very rudely just looked at me offering no explanation. I'll never go back I'll just buy a 15 dollar float an ho myself

Last summer, we had a blast with the kids. We went in a large group 2 - 8 yr olds 6 - adults There’s a little Area you can stop & rest on the river & go for a little dip ! The kids really enjoyed it. Will be going again this summer ! The staff was very nice They provide double tubes & the staff recommends the kids pair up with an adult. There is an area of the river w fast moving rapids but it’s really not bad. The kids had a blast & the staff provides life vests. We also brought along rope to tie to our wrists just in case but it really wasn’t needed. We did however tie one tube to another because one of the kids wanted to float in a single tube - just for peace of mind that they didn’t float too far. After we got back, we enjoyed some hotdogs from the shack . * some areas of the river are deep

For Parents this is a dangerous day on the river. The lady who runs this operation has zero worry about you and your family safety. As long as she gets your money off you go. This is not a lazy river float. the river may have different levels but you would think the hillbilly woman running the place would give you a heads up that the river is very high or say something. I had 3 children two in their own tubes and once you get in the river there is no getting out and your kids are on their own. The rapids are dangerous there are trees down along the edge where you can get caught up on under water. The current is so strong you can not do anything but hang on and hope for the best. As a parent I would say THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING TO DO WITH KIDS. For that I think its not a good thing for anyone. The owner never said hey maybe you should wear a life jacket. I was thinking the river was a foot or so deep and I could stand up if the kids needed me. no the river is many feet deep in fact over my head when I was dragged down under water by the current. im a 265 LB guy and I had no shot at controlling where I was going. And to add to all this the river merges with I think the cold river and the currents are insane. we all got stuck in them and could not go down the river. if anyone fell off their tubes this would have been a very bad outcome this is where a guy died before and to boot a giant tree right by there to get hung up under. I asked the owner wow that was dangerous and if there were many deaths. She laughed and said in her 21 years there was only one death and it was when they were not running business. Well she lied . Just to show she could care less about you and more about protecting her business. As a parent I would stress do not do this but if you do and have a similar experience please post. I still feel like a bad parent for taking my kids on this trip. And to the lady running the business get some morals!

They are closed Monday & Tuesday. Facebook page has daily river release schedule.
There are several stateparks to camp at within 30 minutes.
It is about an hour 15 minutes on the water from the beginning to my place where you exit the river. Thank you Stephen Scott Jr. for answering the question, but we only have the shuttle bus on weekends, we transport back to your vehicle via my Volvo during the week.
