I bought a lemon tree from the owner for my wife. After a few months I noticed it had some strange insects living on it. It began to lose all of its leaves no matter what what precautions I took. I took many pictures when I 1st bought it after reviewing them I noticed that the larva was on the tree since the beginning. The owner said to me that some of his plants have diseases. That plants are like children and they get sick. There's nothing he could do for me. He sold me a plant that was already sick and he knew it. Worst experience a nursery I've ever had.

Marbott's: ⦿ Very plain, unexceptional selection in the greenhouses (it's quantity more than variety that takes up all that space) ⦿ Amazing selection of high-end houseplants in the building across from the register ⦿ Five-star tuberous begonias. Those stems are FAT and juicy. Mwah. Back to the houseplants: the boutique houseplants cost a pretty penny (the market is hot) and I didn't buy any, but had a great time browsing. If you are looking to invest in a special, rare houseplant, I highly recommend browsing here. The very special ones are hundreds of dollars (which is not more expensive than similar plants elsewhere). Gorgeous, rare aroids. The most mature pink princess philodendrons for sale anywhere in Portland--and several of them. Same for variegated string of hearts: well-established, long chains, maybe even in bloom. Two not-for-sale monstera albo :'(

I really love this nursery, their environment and selection are great. I just wish they weren't closed 3 days a week!

Larry is very knowledgeable and takes pride in his work! They’ve been around for nearly 100 years, and I can easily see why. They grow nearly all of the pants on-site too! I would rather support a local business that grows their plants in-house than go to a big box store. I’m coming back to fill up my Subaru with plants very soon. 🌱

Marbotts was the first nursery which I visited when nurseries reopened last summer. They have been very cautious and courteous about space and masking.

Affordable, plus since they grow the annuals themselves they are better. Knowledgable staff. I love this nursery.
