My visit yesterday with my Stepdaughter and Wife was very educational. Reminded me of a school field trip here as a kid! It would have been nice to see the workers working on the farm though, there wasn’t much activity going on during our visit.

I once offered a passing lesson in the art of 'round-hand' penmanship, to scholars at your school-house, and, was so instantly captivated with Esther Weld, I sought and won her hand in marriage. sign'd -- A. Rail-Roader

A true step back in time, with links to Wisconsin and Minnesota. Still under restoration in different parts but open to the public. The history of those who lived there was very interesting and quite unique. Of those of you who are interested in the past and how it created the present do not hesitate to visit. Go in the spring or autumn if you can. The activity s and museum is good, but not worth standing in a queue in the now for. The priviys would be terrible in summer. So highly recommend spring or fall.
