Where is the 0 or negative star rating. I will never go there again, First off, the place is no longer LA Quinta; it's Norwood suites and the place was dirty and smelled bad. The bed was sunken in middle. The room was dated and the furniture was old. Bathroom was tiny and the worst I've ever seen. My wife and I had I set of towels, front desk didn't have access to get us more... what the what! You can't get a set of towels. I only took a few pictures posted here, my advice hi somewhere else. I'd rather sleep in my car

Under construction. You literally are in a work in progress. Looks like an old hotel that was abandoned for a very long time and now someone is thinking of recreating a new hotel out of it. First off it is no longer the La Quinta in it is The Norwood Inn. Second if you just need to go to sleep this can be the spot. The beds are comfortable enough to get a good night's rest. Beyond that... Well The property has water issues it gurgles and came out brown for us. It also takes a while for the water to turn hot. Talked to management in the morning they said they had a water pipe break overnight and it was repaired. They give 2 big towels, 1 wash, and 1 face towel. The light in the bathroom would come on and go off and then later on come on again. The AC works but you doesn't work properly. However out room cooled off nicely in the end The rooms on the 2nd level are way better than the ones on the first level. On the second level the further you walk back the worse the smell is. The carpets need to be changed throughout. Laundry is 1.50 and 1.75 wash and dry. They do serve a breakfast in the morning but it is just bagels, cereal, some apples and bananas, small packages of grits and waffles. Milk was short at hand. Regular coffee. No juice, no water.. Now remember the coffee is on an auto water system and the water is brown. Needless to say I just left. Would I go back. If I needed to sleep and had no where to go. We rented on the weekend. The cost was 105 a night. Too much for too little. They have amenities but nothing is operating at this time. No pool etc. The people were nice and helpful and due to that I would sleep there again. No bugs which is great!! Unlike the Quality Inn Merrillville but that's another review. This hotel get 2 stars for a decent bed and the kindness of the staff.

If you can avoid staying here, do so. I had booked a room and the first room they put me in had stained sheets, toilet paper on the bed, and a broken, loud ac unit. I asked for a different room and they gave me one without question, but we went into that one and the toilet seat and bathtub were disgusting. The bed sheets, blankets, and pillows were also stained. I couldnt cancel and ask for a refund because they have a no cancellation policy. There were cigarette butts and ashes all over the halls as well. The entire place was disgusting and a huge health code violation.

I booked a night here and as soon as I check-in 10 min later I checked out. The hall ways are dirty and smells like mildew. The room I had was dirty the lining on the bed had stains all over them. (White blanket that should have been thrown out) the bathroom was also dirty the tub looked like it wasn't cleaned in a while the room also smelled as bad as the hallway. The only thing that this place had good about it was the front desk lady. When I came to check out she was understanding on why I was leaving so soon.
