Mr. Frostie is a San Diego institution. It’s been here since the 40s, and has always been a go to for soft serve ice cream and shakes. I came here as a kid and fondly remember twist cones dipped in chocolate shell. Sitting at their tables and getting soft serve drilling all over your hands is a right of passage. Now that I’ve grown up, a little, I like a twist in a cup with chocolate dip on top. That way you get more harshened she’ll and don’t make as big of a mess. The best part of Mr. Frosties is bringing my family here now. It’s the next generation, so 3rd in my family that gets to enjoy and I look forward to the next one after this too. My kid’s favorite is a twist with rainbow sprinkles. Don’t forget they have excellent shakes and sundays too. You can’t really go wrong except to not come here!

Open since 1949, I found out and I've been going for 30 years. Never had a bad experience and the ice cream is awesome. I always get the peanut butter and chocolate shake. There's lots to choose from.

A fun little place to get ice cream while out walking around shopping and having a nice day. Friendly super quick service and tasty treats! I couldn't finish mine and neither could my friend.
